After receiving a (cough cough or several...) threatening text from the lovely matriarch of my family, I decided it JUST might be time to update!
This past week has been a doozie. We have managed to finish our first show, Jackpot (we have 2 left to learn)! WOO! Unfortunately, the rehearsal director and vocal director that were working with us were pulled to be apart of Chicago on one of the largest ships, Allure. SO now we will have different directors for the next two shows and the install off all of our shows aboard the ship. (Install is when shows are rehearsed and staged on the ship.) I have to admit that I am a little relieved and excited that we are done with the show. The past couple of weeks have been slightly stressful, and the whole cast has been feeling it! The next show we will be learning is Invitation to Dance and is a ballroom fusion show! Jackpot was a very singer heavy show and is mostly character work for the dancers. So I will be interested to see how all of us dancers are feeling by the end of the week! ha!
We also had Wardrobe and Wig supervisor selections this past week. I put in an application for Wardrobe Supervisor, because even though I have worn wigs I have never personally cared for them. I figured wardrobe would be a better place to start out and if nothing else, it would get my name out there! Four of us put in applications....and all four of us got a position! It turns out that on our ship we have parades (I am assuming at the beginning of every cruise..not really sure) so there is a Parade Supervisor. Timera and I got Wardrobe Supervisor; Corinne got Parade Supervisor; and Nicky got Wig Supervisor. Basically, Timera and I will split the duties and are responsible for maintaining and repairing costumes, checking all costumes are in their proper places at the end of every show, weigh ins :-/ and laundering costumes. We are also responsible for sending back weekly reports to RCCL headquarters. At some point we will go through training. Again, I'm not really sure what that will entail but I'm assuming: how to use a sewing machine, how to properly repair items, how to launder items. We'll see! And since this is an additional responsibility...there is monetary compensation! More money for Europe! ;)
There is not much else to tell. The weather has been VERY tropical here and raining nearly every day. SO we all find ourselves putzing around the apt, doing laundry, etc! In better news, Tanner will be visiting next weekend for Labor Day. The big wigs at BP decided he could stand to take some time off! So hopefully the weather will behave A LITTLE better!

From L To R we have: Corinne, Nicky, Timera, me, Ingrid, Ashley (our Girl 1 singer) and Taylor! This was taken a week ago Saturday at a Mexican food restaurant. Yes, you read that correctly, Mexican food....lets just say it wasn't any Matt's El Rancho!
